Ringo Starr and the all Starr band
Montreal, July 27th, 2001
It was a very great day for me, I had the chance to see Roger Hodgson, Ringo Starr, Greg Lake, Ian Hunter and Sheila E few minutes before the concert. I was really happy to see Roger. The last time I saw him was 3 years ago... to much time... He invited me to join him in the "Stars" room. When I came in a saw Ringo sitting in the corner. We sat down on a table near him and we talk a bit. Few minutes later, Ringo looked at me and said to Roger: "Hey, one of your friend". So Roger introduced me to him. The first thing I said to Ringo was: "It's a pleasure to met you". Roger told him that I was working on a web site so I told Ringo that he has a nice web site. He asked me what was the impression of the concert in toronto on this board. I said that the fans really loves the show. I told him that he did a nice pick by choosing Roger as a member of the all stars band but he should let Roger play more than 3 songs. He laughed and told me that a lot of people told him that. The time went fast but I think I talked to him at least 2 minutes but I'm not sure... maybe 3. After I asked him some questions he asked me if I was a reporter. I laughed. I was so happy and I realized that I had a big opportunity. I know that I was really lucky. The concert was great. Roger did a good job and he had a big ovation of around a minute after each of his songs. People in Montreal really loves him and really loves Supertramp. All the band was great and Sheila was amazing also. I saw her before the concert and I can say that she is very cute. Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of my meeting with Ringo but I have some from the concert. It's something that I will never forget, even without pictures, it will stay in my memory for always. Thank you Roger for that opportunity and for the time you gave me. You are really a great man. You are and will ever be my idol. It was great to see you and talk to you.
