We will talk about our passion for the Continental Toy Spaniel,
commonly called Papillon.
There are two type of dogs:
There is the Phalene type (drop ear) and the Papillon type (straight ear).
Where do they come from? It's a mystery.
We can find the first Phalene during the reign of king Louis XIV.
It is the dog of the monarchy.
We often see those dogs in the painting of nobility's families.
The Papillon type appeared during the XIX century. Nobody knows more about the origin of this new type.
It is a lively, friendly, kind and smart little dog.
It is very easy to train, because that dog is happy to please you.
This dog is also often trained to help people, doing some zootherapy for elders or children.
The small size of the dog and its easy care makes it a ideal companion.
It's soft and silky fur needs only a weekly care.
The only thing he needs, it's your love and attention.
