Mermaid's ScarMermaid's Scar

Partake of the mermaid's flesh, the legend says, and you shall be granted life eternal. But what happens when you don't want to be immortal anymore?

Yuta and Mana are no ordinary teenagers. They are immortal. Together, they travel across Japan in an attempt to see just how long it takes to become weary of immortality. One day, they cross a young boy named Masato. It quickly become clear to them that something is wrong between Masato and Misa, his mother. Is she really his mother? What are those rumors saying she died in a sea accident. Why did she tried to kill the boy? Who is really innocent and who is really afraid of whom?

The mermaid legend wasn't really something new to me. I've already seen or read many stories about immortality. Yet, Mermaid's Scar gave me quite a good impression. In it's own way, it's original. Not to mention it's quite a dark story. I was amazed to see the amount of damage young Yuta received. It was like: "A gun! Cool!" or "Wow! An ax!".

In sort, it's entertaining. I recommend it.
