Tradici—n Flamenca

Tradici—n Flamenca is the result of the meeting of two guitarists: Roger Lapierre flamenco guitarist and Michel Beauchamp classical guitarist, both known for their solo performances, who now share the same stage.  These two musicians having on their own undertaken serious researches on the subject of Flamenco and being motivated by a thirst for authenticity and purity, decided to join forces and create the current group, Tradici˜n Flamenca, which focuses on what is known as traditional flamenco.

Why that choice? Because it is only with true Flamenco, that they found the power, the magic and the exoticism inherent to this ancient art form.  Far from them, therefore, the need to join the current fads of mixing flamenco with other musical forms.  Their music is throughouly infused with the hot winds of Andalusia, the dust from itÕs dry roads, and the cries of joy, sorrow and pain from itÕs people.

Flamenco al o’do

The Show

The Group ÔÕTradici—n FlamencaÕÕ offers a fabulous performance designed to introduce the general public to this ancient art form. Yet, it will delight the most demanding and sophisticated aficionado. The show ÔÕFlamenco al o’doÕÕ which could be translated to:listening to Flamenco, presents the flamenco singer El Chele, the two guitarists Roger Lapierre and Michel Beauchamp and the gracious flamenco dancer Rosanne Dion.

In creating this show, M. Beauchamp and R. Lapierre endeavoured to present a complete panorama of traditional flamenco. The program in two 45 minutes parts, conveys the public as is customary in Sevilla or Madrid, to a show where singing, dancing and guitar are incorporated in just the ideal proportions. It most be said though that in this show, signing prevails. The two guitars weave a musical accompaniment around THE ÔÕCANTƒÕÕ whilst the dancer adds, as if it where necessary, sensual ardor and passion to this marvelous art form.
